New to the p-world
Just imported a 987.1 from south of the border. It took a few months of searching for a wide range of cars from 987.1/2s to 997 c2/4s.
A few things I noticed during the process that is probably obvious to most of you:
- Buying a well optioned & priced car remotely is a pain since it takes a while to fly down to see the car, etc
- It will rain... a lot... the day you drive the car back to Canada
- Other Porsche drivers will wave/honk at you
- The car is a dude magnet
- Its is better to buy a car with clear side markers on already to avoid being pressured on this forum to change them out quickly
There are 2 rattles in the car that are driving me bonkers that I will have to work out... but besides that, I couldn't be happier!

Haha Thanks.
Border was pretty painless since I had a binder full of documentation. Bill of sale, copy of bank draft, autotrader & kbb printouts on top of the rest were key.
The guy in front of me was having trouble at the American side because he forgot to print out the confirmation from the border for having sent in the details of the car 72 hours in advance.

Haha, good catch. That's not my house. It's a historic building that we stopped by driving this path: http://bikeroads.atspace.com/paris.htm
I felt that the canadian flag contrasted nicely against the new jersey plates.
