talk about kicking a guy when he is down

why would solid mounts, suspension and g loading cause starvation? many people track these cars and I have not heard of this being an issue?

I'm not sure how to say this delicately... I was pretty quick. Have telemetry data showing some pretty solid Gs. Just a speculation though.

Thanks

Just got the story on that motor. Has a valve train noise on cylinder 4.

The motor was replaced under a third party warranty and now he's trying to sell it. Essentially it's a CORE MOTOR that he never even paid for. Kinda greedy if you ask me. I offered him $2000 as I MIGHT be able to use the heads from my car on it but its a HUGE RISK to take even at $2000. The core would be worth about $1250 if I'm lucky.

GRRRRRRRRRRR

Something doesn't add up with that engine. If it was a warranty replacement, the insurance company owns the engine. Also, does a crate engine from Porsche comes with the mufflers?

A 997.1 without an engine that suffered hail damage is not worth $24k.
Half of that or even less if one is crazy about guards red.

no offence as I am sure you are a great driver but I am pretty sure there are better drivers tracking 997s, including full blown race cars using 997 engine ie the recent koni series cars. but if that makes you feel better about the whole thing, maybe you are the STIG!
anyways not looking to debate but these engines have been used at very high gs and usually don't blow up.
and very sorry for your bad luck. I for one am pulling for your luck to improve...usually does if you have the right attitude. You probably are luckier than you think compared to some people's problems. again good luck, hope it all works out.

Why wouldn't you have insurance fix the hail damage so that the buyer only has the motor to deal with? Worth it for the cost of the deductible I would think, no?

Wet sump spacers, modified/x51 baffles and Accusump systems are used to alleviate these problems. It's exactly why Porsche used different baffles on the x51 cars because there was evidence that the wet sup system was inefficient at hi G loading. They also sell dual scavenge pumps to help aleviate the problem.

I wasn't a pro or anything but I hade a lap here of there that was less than 3 seconds off the fastest stock gt3 drivers out there. All I'm saying is that I have evidence that the car saw over 1.2g and that there have been recorded issues in such cases.

Please show me the math on this? Nothing out here selling for less than $40K. I'm putting a motor in for $8K. Walk me through your logic.
