FS: 2006 Guards Red 997 **BLOWN MOTOR**

Adam just to be clear for everyone .. is it the 24K with the motor, and not installed /? or 24 K with no motor ? i'm a bit confused.
Regardless you story is becoming all too common , a 996/997 with all original matching numbers may be a very hard find in about 25 years or so at this rate
Anyway hoping it all works out , you must feel so beat up as i have followed this from the start ..

Simple math. He is free to ignore the offer, take the offer, or counter offer.
There was no insult in my post. I am sure he didn't take it that way either.

None taken. I'm pretty sure Turbodan was just giving you a hard time.
Despite an absolute TON of fodder email coming in asking about this car i'm working with a couple buyers who are serious so hopefully one works out.

if you do sell it make sure you lead the buyer here. Would be good to folow the story and see how it goes ..

What it'll come down to is a buyer that gets a 2006 997 completely up to date on service with upgraded IMS on a motor with 40,000 KM, a brand new clutch and brand new 19" Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tires for about $32,500.
He'll have the complete history on the vehicle since 28,000 km not to mention anything he'd learn from reading my posts here. Few $$ for some dent repair and he's got himself an AMAZING drivers car for a great price.

I just found a 2006 Porsche Cayman S for $36,900 (highest) , all original accident free. Why pay 32,500 (lowest possible) when you can get same year Cayman S with less body mileage for only a few grand more, and no hassle, and can get inspected fully.

A Cayman is a Cayman. A 911 is a 911.
Unfortunately, with vehicles like theses there is SOOOOOO much more to consider than just price. I've seen this every time I attempt to sell a Porsche. The ol' 'I can get this and that at this and that price, why would I buy yours?'. My answer remains the same. Do your homework and know exactly what you're getting into. There are cars out there with substantially less mileage on them with interiors that look like absolute garbage ($$$$$), some need clutches ($2000), some need brakes ($1000-3000), some need tires ($1200-2000). Condition of paint, accident history even colour are all factors that need to be considered and SEEN to know what you're getting into. Maintenance records are something else that is often overlooked. A documented history should be worth its weight in gold!
After all this, you may find it's still a flawless car and exactly what you want and hopefully you'll pull the trigger and never look back. The bottom line is that hopefully my car will be exactly what someone wants for whatever reason, clearly it is not for you yet for some reason you decided to create and account on here just to let me know that...

FYI, i'm not insulted. I've spent countless hours talking to people who have contacted me in their search to purchase a Porsche. I'm happy to offer full disclosure and a little education about buying these cars. I've been doing it since I was 18 and I earn my living in the automotive service industry. I love these cars and I'd hate to see anyone not getting exactly what they want because they either weren't educated or potentially swindled.

I'm not sure why people feel the need to post useless crap on
a for sale thread
I've know Adam for years, stand up guy who will do everything
he can to make the new owner of his car happy
One of the nice things about rennlist is you can search the
history of car and owner, very important info
Good luck with sale

You do realize the Cayman and 997 are completely different cars, right?
