Are you sure this isn't an instructor training session showing how bad a student can be?
I've had the same thing done to me.
From a facebook post.
We learned from folks who where there that this was a challenging student with poor listening skills and he had a hard time letting go of his old driving habits. If anything, this should give us a new appreciation for what driving instructors have to work with.

Wow! This is scary dangerous. School definitely should put their pants on and kick him off before he hurts someone or damages property. The risk of people starting on the track with cars that are way too fast for them.

What a nice track thought! Austin? Looks smooth as a billiard table...

I think we need to keep a few things in mind, and we can learn a lot..

1. When stuff starts going bad, make sure you just let go of the steering wheel
2. Comfort while racing is paramount.. always ensure you have your elbow resting comfortably on the window sill

I would have eaten the memory card after a run like that

Saw it on Facebook, still available there, but not sure how I can post just the link without all the Facebook crap.

Try search for user "Friends of Formula 1 Austin Texas" on Facebook and you may be able to see it.

Now that I've finally seen it, I see what they mean when they say driving aids make anyone look like a pro. If he'd been driving a car without traction control, he'd have taken his car home in pieces on a tow truck.

That guy needs a day on a small track with a car with no traction control.

Resting his elbow on the sill?
Holding the A-Pillar?
Seems like a fast & furious "drifter" trying to be taken seriously to me.

I was at the track. Did not see this guy but agree he should have been sent home this was supposed to be a very advanced solo only.

my favorite is on how he "points" other cars through with the finger, that alone says it all......
