i will loose 14k in 8 months with my trade and have to pay 36k more for the GT3.

the left side of my brain is asking : .. is it worth all that money to move from a TT to a GT3..

the right side says just do it..

Never listen to your brain. It always steers you wrong. Okay, maybe it makes the sensible choice, but that's never the fun one.

I had a very similar debate last October. I opted for a 997.1 RS and it has been a very enjoyable experience so far. I cannot WAIT for summer.

I think life is short do what will please you the most.
however what will you use this car for? if it is mostly street I don't think you will be happy with gt3 as in order to get full use of power you must keep revs high and that is too fast for driving safely on the street especially Montreal pot hole streets. if for track go for the gt3 rs. if for street keep the turbo and get a track car. most owners agree gt3 is not very user friendly for street.
the decisions we must make

I did this when trying to decide on a replacement for my 1 and only car that died on me (RIP Jetta)...

...The numbers always worked out to "get a 3.2 Carrera". Logic and sensiblism never hold against what you really want.

So just do it!

RS = 150k GT3=120 dealer is giving sub 100k for my 09TT with 18000km that has a 178,000$ build price and 2 year P. Warranty !

I lost $$ in my trade last year ( returned my 06 S and 01 C2 )

Will loose again in the TT trade..

Thanks for all the feedback .. very cool and kind.

The pot holes in mtl are a PIA agreed. We have a GTI and SE FJ Cruiser so the GT3 is for driving to work on nice days and enjoying the ride.. I lost that Porsche thrill with the TT ( amazing car but i am not an AWD guy and the Turbo rush is cool but i think i got my thrill and now looking for linear power .. ) .

Will keep you posted. but for now i am keeping the TT ..

Had the same feeling about my 997 TT. My RS is driven 99.9% on the street and it is perfectly capable as a daily driver, although if your pothole situation is as bad as I think it is, that could make it a bit unbearable.

I lose a whack of $ every time I flip a car. It's just a consequence of having this disease for which there is no cure, so just come to grips with it and do it!

What about selling the TT privately? You would likely get a greater return on it, which would help make your decision to get an RS easier

Can't wait to see pics of it in your garage!
