Have a new project to work on and want to test the coolant for signs of head gasket faliure. Any place that sell the testing kit in the GTA or KW area?

I can but that doesn't show if where the pressure is. Could be some oil cooler leaking. I'm not too familiar with the systems on this car so want a definate answer before taking it apart. The kit is supposed to be like a PH testing kit for pools.

The leak down tester will show you. The bubbles will show up in the coolant.

Oil cooler leak will show up as hydrocarbons in the coolant too..

Seeing as you still have mine, should be a no brainer. Let me know when you are doing it, I might stop by and help.

It's my brother's '91 BMW 850, manual 6-speed. Looks like it developed a headgasket leak. Oil level is up, looks like a shake and randomly overheats.
