Hilarious. As No HTwo O and Turbodan will recall, we had this same poll on the 993 Turbo forum and nooobody but nooobody drives our cars except maybe our techs.

My wife doesn't really like driving the Boxster. She finds it too rough (suspension too tight), and the clutch too heavy. She rarely drives it.

She however is taking it to work tomorrow, as one of our DD's is at the garage getting a busted AC looked at.

Will have to remind her in the morning about reverse, putting the top down, the cruise control, the ignition is on the Left..... I should make a list....

The car is not a PDK and she can heel and toe with the best of them. Sometimes you have to get them into it so that spending money on track days and sticky tires seem like a good idea.
Julie has moved to black? Congrats!!
I followed her on the track a bit last season and she's definitely all that Chris says!

On the OP, my wife drives a manual well but prefers the passsenger seat.
Sometimes you have to anchor the driver's seat to a position where she can't reach the pedals!!

My wife drives the p when we're in it together ... from the passenger seat

Actually, she really enjoys driving her X3, which has turned out to be a nimble, fun suv for her.

My wife has driven my old 944, 928 and 993. Since I purchased my 996TT or my 964T she has declined driving either for fear of damage. She also likes all the comfort items in her Q7 and thinks that my cars have too harsh a ride.

Your wife probably has a clutch that she finds more good-looking and useful than you, so you're even!

I get to drive the 442 every now and then so my wife can drive the 911 every so often. We each have our toys so it all works out.

I'm glad my wife took it out. The whole family loves the car and we all want to enjoy it. I got to see what it looks like when it's rolling down the road and even got a short video on my phone.

My wife drove my car for the first time in the 3 plus years i have owned it about 3 weeks ago. I actually told her we were going for a drive and she is driving. We were supposed to go around the block and she did not want to come back home. She was having such a great time and she drove the car like a champ which is amazing for a person who has never driven a Porsche of that vintage. She would never ask to take it out on her own, but if she did, I would not have a problem with it. She looks awesome in it!

Mine wife has driven and tracked all of my Porsche's (Past & Present) except for the Cup Car, I doubt she would be interested in the Cup Car or actually get the clutch to work.

She does well at the PCA AX events with the fastest ladies time last year, DE doesn't really interest her since she get motion sickness in the passenger seat.

I also let my 16 yo son drive the 944 & Spyder, he has his own car (2011 Lancer GT) but likes to take the Porsche's out once an a while. He has started to do Time Attack events in the 944, he's also done one TT in the Spyder. Tracking the cars is a good father & son event, it gets him away from the electronic stuff that he and most kids his age spend to much time on.

I let my wife drive the car on the day I picked it up from the dealer. That was the first and last time she drove it because she can never pry the keys out of my hands!

Mine has driven it but not without me. I would not have a problem with her taking it. She isn't interested though.
