Default Where to buy coolant?

Hi everyone, need a quick answer, just checked my coolant tonight, it's below min. It is a 2003 C4S. The manual does not indicate what time of coolant it uses, is the dealer the only place to get coolant? anything I can pick up at Canadian tire? It is a clear yellow coolant right now.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

do not use anything other than from the dealer. if you do it will turn into a gooey gel that is difficult to clean out. only dealer!

How far below min, is there anything left in the tank? you could add a bit of water (I'd use distilled), then top off with coolant later.

I have about 1/2 a jug in the garage if your in need of a donation, otherwise I believe the DFC sells 1L and 4L jugs.

Might want to check into why its that low

Definitely figure out why you're low. Do you have any stains on the ground under the car?

G12 has a self clogging agent. If the hole is small it will, over time, seal it. If the small leak drippps onto a hot surface, it can evaporate before hitting the ground. Look for a pink looking, chewing gum texture, stain on the engine or the radiator. All VW delaers carry G12 and even some parts stores too.

Ok topped itup tonight with distilled water. Took 500ml to fill back to max. I cant see any leaks around resovoir, or at radiator. The cap o ring seems a bit wet. I read somewhere the caps are prone to leak and also the o ring at the vent in the resovoir. I will keep checking the level.

Pfaff wants 21 dollars for 1L. And 47ish for 3 gallons.

The cap is $30 something, and o ring a few bucks.
