Default aerocatch hood pins?

Hi all,

I have some good news ad some bad news. After at least a year of sitting neglected, I finally cut a breather hole in my cat to see if that was the issue. The good news is that she finally took off like a shot - the bad news is that the latch let go again and I had an unfortunate hood fly-up incident.

Looks like I bent the hinges, so I'll be getting some of those, but I was wondering on people's thoughts on hood pins, something like the Aerocatch style flush mount. I figure there's be no repeat offense this way.

If so, I'm heading to Calgary on Tuesday, so it might be nice to pick some up there.

No one's ever used these on an older much-loved Porsche, or any other sports car for that matter?

TRG uses them on all their GS cars.

I think I just bought the same ones. Any chance you could snap some pics of how you installed them?

Yeah, the hinges bent a bit, so the bottom two corners of the windshield cracked.

Thanks, appreciate that. She's a project car, and I have very little invested in her, so it's all good.
