We're moving to a house with a single car garage... so I'm thinking of selling the M5 and the 964 and getting a 965.

I looked on ebay and pelican, rennlist but they are few and far between.

Anyone know of any 965s for sale?

The 965 is a very different bird than your 964. While the body looks similar, the engine management system killed the experience for me. I hated my 964 Turbo because it consumed fuel like it was leaking and the constant issues with the CIS kept it in the shop for weeks at a time. The reality is that if you want a modern driving experience, the CIS just can't keep up to our modern expectations. If you really want a classic turbo, go to a 1989 930 or a 1996 993 Turbo. With the 930, it looks old so you'll expect it to drive old; with the 993, it's just heaven on wheels.

That's good advice. The closest I've come to driving a 965 is watching Bad Boys. 993 TT is about $20k out of my price range... I had a love affair with the 930, but it passed.

Maybe I just wait and save my pennies...

964 Turbo (1990–1994)In 1990 Porsche introduced a Turbo version of the 964 series. This car is sometimes mistakenly called 965 (this type number actually referred to a stillborn project that would have been a hi-tech turbocharged car in the vein of the 959). For the 1991 and 1992 model years, Porsche produced the 964 Turbo with the 930's proven 3.3 L engine, improved to produce 320 PS (235 kW). 1993 brought the Carrera 2/4's 3.6 L engine, now in turbo-charged form and sending a staggering 360 PS (265 kW) to the rear wheels. With the 993 on the way, this car was produced through 1994 and remains rather rare.

Check out TPS Racing's supercharger kit for 993/964s. The intercooled kit is about
$10K plus install... Or you can probably fab your own water to air intercooler and
buy just the supercharger kit for $7.5K.
