Darn Porkie Pigs ... They are everywhere trying to make fast money and get promotions. Best of luck - Sorry to hear that you got nabbed.

Thanks Bergamasco. I have not had a ticket for a long time so it's not completely unexpected. I don't usually go beyond 130 and even then. I was passing a truck and my lane was disappearing. Yes, I could have stepped on the brake and slowed down and pull in behind the truck, but I made the call to step on the gas and pass it before my lane ends.

Don't worry too much, since you have a clean record it's unlikely your insurance company will even pull an MVR on you anyway. Just watch out, I should know. I had nothing for almost 10 years and then got popped 4 times in the last 2 years, all small **** like 20 over, fail to stop completely at a stop sign. I'm living proof that in a blink of an eye your record can go from zero to WTF pretty fast. Now my insurance still has me with no convictions and the last time they pulled my MVR was is 2007 when I had a minor accident. Even when I added the 928 on in August they still did not pull an MVR.

My last ticket was going down a hill doing 96 in an 70 in the middle of the country. ****ing stealth charger coming the other way and I was trying to change songs on my radio. And popped, for 26 over, and was not able to plea it down. Halton is out of control.

You don't need a paralegal or a ticket specialist. Request a court date and a "first appearance with the crown". There you can negotiate directly with the Crown prosecutor. First ticket in 7 years, responsible adult, blah, blah, blah...and they'll knock it down.

I have used this WITHOUT FAIL several times over the last 15 years.

And BTW...142 is too fast with your daughter in the car.
