Default Trading in Car - Need Input

So my company has decided I need a truck which means I no longer need my personal daily driver (2007 Infiniti G35X). The plan all along was to trade in my personal car on the company truck and I just pocket the difference (the value they are offering me combined with the tax savings is fair). The problem now is that the dealer tells me that I can't trade in a vehicle registered in my name against a vehicle that will be registered to the company. I suspect that this type of thing happens from time to time and am hoping there is away around this. Otherwise I am better off selling my vehicle privately as they only offered $15K for it wholesale vs $18-$19K I could get for it privately.
Any input is appreciated.

Save the headach and sell it privatly for the saem price that the trade in+tax would be. Sounds liek it is low enough that it will sell fast.

Thanks. It looks like I will sell it privately since a couple of calls have resulted in the same answer. I'm not sure I'm saving any headache though. Private selling is time consuming and I will likely need new tires to certify...

My experience is that if you advertise a car cheaper than anyone else, it will sell fast. If it's as-is, make sure the price reflects it.

Yes. I even debated with myself whether my ad might be interpreted as one of those 'thinking about selling/whats it worth posts' that really are a for sale ad...
It is not a P-Car so this isn't really the best forum for selling.

Anyways, I have decided to sell privately as it seems there really is no way to get the tax savings on the difference.

To answer a later post, I will sell certified and price aggressively but will need new tires to certify. Any thoughts on putting 'used' tires on just to pass certification or is that cheap and/or leave me open to potential future liability?
