Steve, I'll take the wheels too, and pick them up for Tremblant in 2 weeks. That'll save the mounting charge.

BTW, your car sounds FREAKING awesome. You should put the muffs back on and join us at LCMT on the 15th

Francois,

That's great re the wheels, and we'll arrange something that works before LCMT. As much as I'd love to do LCMT that weekend, it conflicts with a family commitment, and I don't dare rock the boat on this one - especially after the Glen next weekend and RA later in Sept.

I love the sound ofmthe new pipes, and you're right, it's freaking loud, but it'll be easy to swap back the OEM muffler for Calabogie and LCMT. Reserving jusdgement on the flash though - seems strained and a little flaccid below 5000 but absolutely screams above that. Is that how yours reacts ?

Cheers,

Hard to tell about the flash as mine is the only 3 I've driven. Up the back straight at Mosport, the power feels "kind of ordinary" if shifting around 7 - 7.5k, and has prompted me to comment often about having a momentum car. But with good exit speed, and shifts at red line, I've got to admit that it holds its own

"Absolutely screams above 5000" sounds like a pretty good thing though It'll be interesting to hear your comments after the track.

I struggle to understand how it is possible to increase power with an ECU re-map. IMvHO, you can alter how and where power is achieved, but increasing it requires hardware modifications...

PS Tremblant is not on the weekend, it's on Thurs and Fri
PPS Going to Gianni's in the am to put the car on the lift. I've got a clunk in the left front.

Agree completely re the flash and expected benefits. Not sure if I'm feeling the effects of the flash, lower back pressure from the exhaust, or the changes to the intake (function of cup decklid). Maybe a combination of all of the above. Having said that, it's hard to tell if it's quicker, but it certainly sounds quicker and I can feel the reduced weight off the rear. Anyways, I'm very happy with the changes and next week will be a good test at the Glen although the long range forecast is for 3 days of rain.

Hope it's nothing serious with your car. Cheers.

Piggy Backing on this thread - if anyone was interested in a set of Volks, I have a set in Silver that are available, along with Toyo RA1s in 245/305 and TPMS (can separate out):
