Default Detailing Gurus: Paint Haze Removal?

Detailing guru's, can you recommend a polish I can use to remove some of the haze in the black paint on my bike?

There's some on the tail I want to get rid of (caused by Goo Gone which removed some stickytape but at the same time also melded the stuff into the clearcoat).

Also some stuff on the side of the bike caused by a gomer who didn't tie it down properly for transport it looks like.

All surfaces are plastic, paint is the same as a car's but is very thin in some places. Stickers are under the clearcoat so not worried about them comming off and frankly if i've polished down that far, I've got bigger things to worry about.

If possible, please recommend a specific product to use (something available from canadian tire would be conveniant).

Help Me Oh Great Detailing Guru's!

Meguiars professional polish is a great polish with a random orbital. M205. M105 is stronger and a compound not a polish.

Thanks jason. Forgot to add, any polishing I do would be by hand, not with a machine.

Like raspberryroadster suggested try using a clay bar. If you need a mild polish try Meguiars scratchX 2.0 if you need something a little more aggressive try Meguiars ultimate compound. Hope this helps.

I would not use meguiars ultimate compound or ultimate polish by hand, it's very difficult to prevent "holograms" or uneven finish by hand. I know from experience. (same with m105 and m205).

Try swirlx as suggested or 3m swirl remover. Follow up with 3m hand glaze.

I would suggest Autoglym Super Resin Polish as a good hand polish and wax in one, very forgiving and user friendly plus it can be found in canadian tire.

Here is a great tutorial on how to apply it by hand http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=222546.
