It's definitely a driver skill and if done wrong can separate a driver from another driver quickly on the track. PDK steals that skill away from whats required of a driver and then it becomes just steering and car control skill. Driver makes less mistakes which makes racing much tighter and in my opinion a little bit more boring to watch like F1 has turned into.

looks like he goes down to first gear for one of the early turns
he blows by another 911 like it is in reverse!

Before I looked closely, I assumed that he had a blipper! That's quite a performance.

I have seen my grandma drive better than that in her Lincoln.

Not stock ratios for sure...even gets down into 1st gear....still has to lift for shifts though so the sequential or PDK would still be marginally faster in spite of the obvious talent.

Very impressive. Watched it twice! You know what thye say, manual for people who like to drive sports cars, automatic for people who like to be seen in sports cars......

Leh Keen is FAST! 996 RSR is FAST! Short gear ratios for Sebring are FAST!

+1, very inspirational.

BTW, just spent the weekend at Mosport, playing cat and mouse with your ex (just to be clear, your ex-GT3)

Great fun when the GT3's get to play together, but not a lot of opportunity to develop that level of shifting skill at Mosport. Despite trying, still can't match Fryd's times in the 3.......

This one isn't fast shifting, just 485 rwhp and 2650 lbs. Gotta love the sound, with Mark's driving ability he is on par with GT3 cup cars, pretty amazing. The 50-50 weight bias really shows it's advantage at the track.
