do you know if Canadian Tire sells the oil filters/gaskets for the Boxsters?

The filter does not come with the gasket. I have lots in parts bins in the back.

On another note, my ears are proportionally lage as are all my other appendages.

It's the same filter for all water cooled cars.

I should add that not all stores may want to take on an oil changed on these cars and I'm not suggesting that every CTC store SHOULD be working on your Porsche. My guys have always worked on mine and I have several customers that come here for their maintenance for that reason.

I was only posting up for those who do oil changes themselves to let them know that they could now get everything they needed for their oil changes at a great price form their local Canadian Tire Store.

If you're in the ottawa area, I'd be happy to do an oil change here for you though.

Hey ATR,

I bought my tranny/diff oil from the dealer and was looking for a good place to do this...

How much for the quick change? I know exactly what to do and have 5L for front/rear.

I pay the tech .5 which is .2 more than he'd get on a regular oil change. We do a 20 pt inspection and torque the drain plug and oil filter to spec. We'll check the battery and cabin air filter for that too. Don't usually check the air filter for that but will happily do that for an added price (dependent on type)

Basic drain and fill for tranny is .5 ($50) and .5-.8 (50-80) for a front diff. Yours may require removal of plastic under body panels that will add to cost a little.

Be happy to perform this service any time.

Same $ for air cooled, i.e. 993? I assume that we are talking both filters?

There is more than 1 CTN in the Ottawa area...can you give me a hint? Or prefer PM...?

Thanks, and I'm sure lots of folks appreciate the honest service, I know I would!

You can get Mann filters at Parts Source, around $15 + tax I think? It comes with an O-ring too but not the crush washer.

Default oil filters

I have bought filter also from part source but they do not have crush washers that fit. Where does everyone get crush washers other than dealer?
