Canadian Tire now sells MANN Oil filters for all watercooled Porsche's. Part number HU719/5x (canadian tire product number 17-9973) available at a retail of $19.99. Mann filters are one of the OE manufactures for Porsche and are made in Germany.

Just wanted to pass on the info and savings (was previously paying $32.00 from a local jobber for the exact same filter). Castrol and Mobil 1 oil always in stock and often on sale too!

i have an 02 Boxster S. does anyone here in the Toronto area bring their car to a shop and supply your own oil/filter to get the oil changed? just wondering how much shops would charge just for the labour.

if anyone has experience with this, I'd be interested in finding out how much the charge was and which shop you went to. thanks.

The location I go to always has it in stock and for $34.99 for the 5L jug.

I charge $47.50 labor on porsches plus materials. Most other vehicles are $28.50 but it takes extra time and care to put a Porsche on the hoist and we use a torque wrench on the drain plug and the oil filter housing.

The filter does not come with the gasket. I have lots in parts bins in the back.

On another note, my ears are proportionally lage as are all my other appendages.
