Exclamation Interesting end to the weekend, any suggestions???

So my family and I finish the long weekend by going to Ontario Place, like many others as it was a great day for it. Since there was no close parking to the entrance, I thought I would park near the security gate as it is a cab... usually I leave the doors unlocked but for whatever reason I thought I would lock them today and this is what I came out to!!!! Had the doors been open who knows maybe it would have been worse... at any rate the damage is done. It is a new roof so I am hoping to find a place that could do just the panel for a reasonable price, if possible, I would prefer not to run it through the insurance company as that will probably raise my rates, any suggestions on where to take it?

Wow, that sucks, speaks volumes about people today.

Going thru ins. depends on your deductible, if it's worth submitting the claim

I am shocked about some people as well, I guess the person must have felt "real cool"...

Dang!!! I would be totally pissed to come back to that. Try giving Gary Nolan a call at Diamond Trim... He is the last word in upholstery experts and the prices are fair.

I can't trust parking my car anywhere these days. I need to invent a force-field!

wow! people are ****ed!

Give EU Autowerks a call maybe they know someone who can help you. Im sure there are many many shops in GTA that can Repair this for you if you dont want to get a new one right away and wait for a Good Deal to come by you.

Check with your insurance company. Normally a comprehensive claim (that's what this is) does not affect future insurance pricing. Only caveat would be if you have a high deductible on comprehensive (which I do) then the deductible might be more than the claim.

Check with your broker Don. I've had vandalism on another car treated differently ie. no deductable, no record, etc.

Unfortunately, these are the workings of "brats/kids". I would never venture to leave my Porsche at high traffic venues such as the Ontario Place, Wonderland, etc.......those tasks are relegated to the wife's Mercedes(which are as "common" as Chevys).

Vandalism is not counted as an "at fault". This is part of your comprehensive coverage....so replace your top and just be thankful you don't need a paint job

Thank everyone for the suggestions and thoughts : ) Turns out I don't have comprehensive, just liability, when I got the car in Nov., they wanted an appraisal in order to get it, with the snow I figured I would do it in Spring, started enjoying the car and forgot, big whoops!!! Life lessons can be very expensive! Will do this once the roof is fixed!!! Now time to figure out the best solution...
