2 Feet of Snow! Cayenne Block Heater
We had no snow anywhere yesterday and now we have 2 feet - no joke! April 30th! We're expecting another 6 inches tonight.
Had the Cayenne (06 S) out in it and it plowed through without a problem. It made me think of an issue that is going to arise next year. It has no block heater and there's nowhere to put one. What is available to warm up the engine when it hits -40?

Well..mine starts on the button, though the coldest I have hit is about -25, and the car lives outside, often parked for several days at a time. No block heater,no garage.

Sorry to hear that. But when I visited Dauphin on business, I always kept my snows on until the May long weekend. You never know what you are going to get when you get up there.

Many of the TDI guys use Sure Start, Canadian Tire sells them. CT also has an electric battery blanket. NAPA also sells a coolant heater. I have one of the NAPA units and a battery blanket on my DD ('00 Jetta TDI)
