I became a big fan of Kicking Horse coffee many years ago while skiing...it's the only coffee they brew in Panorama where I have my ski condo. Closest to a good European coffee imho.

I never understood why people complain about the price of Starbucks. It cost about $1.90 for a brewed cup similar to the size of a Tims large... 40 cents difference at the most. The better is taste is well worth the extra cents. I drink both... prefer Starbucks. McDonalds makes a pretty good cup of brewed as well. Surprise!
Now if you want a girl drink with estrogen and whipped shopping on top at Starbucks, that will cost you... but have you tried that whipped coffee junk at Tim Hortons?? ugh... makes you a diabetic after one cup.
However, I am a self proclaimed coffee snob... my espresso machine and grinder cost more then a good set of tires and rims. After trying many, many, brands... I found Kicking Horse the most consistent with quality taste and a good value... meh...

Also Manic Coffee on College Street West brews a special coffee called Esmerelda Especial if you're in the Toronto area.

Oh okay... That's the Civet cat poo stuff... I have tried it, it's good, sure... but not worth the price. A well made espresso can remove a lot of the biterness at a 10th the press... But if you like it, go nuts...
