I bought a new 2010 997 C2S in Dec. and I'm thinking of installing PSE. Anyone have an idea what that may cost? Are the old parts worth anything? The car is in storage and has never been driven.

^Or come here it live at the GTG this sat on my car
while PSE probably has the nicest sound for our cars, it's cost is close to $4000 installed. Which is why I went with the Gundo Hack and third muffler delete pipe. Total cost under $1000 and sounds real nice, IMO.
I think the TSB says something like 8 work hours to install and Suncoast sells the PSE kit for $2,600 US. So add shipping, duty, brokerage and tax then install and you'll be over $4k.
I'd like to hear the Gundo sometime.. I have the FVD which is LOUD; sort of GT3/cup car'ish. I usually don't make it to the meets, but maybe when it moves back to the Chapters I'll make an effort to come out.
Thanks guys. $4,000.00 is close to what I thought it may cost. At that price it's within $800.00 of the option price if it had been ordered with the car. Now I have to check if the Ottawa dealer will install it if I supply the parts.
The on- off switch is important to me leaving few options. I'm assuming Gundo Hack and other makes don't offer the on- off switch.
I did the same last year. Bought from Suncoast but rather than pay the 8hrs install labour to hook it up to the sport button (and have it automatically switch off at certain rmp) had a carnewall remote switch added (http://www.carnewal-europe.com/cpx_p97084.htm). So if I am coming home at night, I can quiet the exhaust when backing in the garage to keep the kids asleep. Other than that its on all the time .
Mantis did the install with the remote switch. I don't have the cost of just the exhaust and switch install but that, in combination with an OEM Short Shift Kit was $600.
