Default Pictures of my recent tour of a Helmet Production facility

Hello RLers -
Recentyl I was at a meeting at STAND 21 - the official PORSCHE MOTORSPORT racing gear supplier.
I was given a factory tour including the helmet production facility.
Enjoy the pics...or check them out on our facebook/sportscarboutique site:

Steps:
Cutting the carbon sheet.
Inserting Resin to the Helmet molds
Drying helmets for 24 hours
Cutting the visor part out where needed.
Sanding imperfections
Putting clearcoat and base paint on
Drying for another 24 hours
Sanding and buffing again
Punching and fitting the inserts and visors
Documenting / paperwork
Assigning SA2010 or FIA 8860-2010 labels where needed.
Custom painted helmet avaialble.

There was a lot of team gear of course - such as Senna's old suit etc.
Here is little something from our FELLOW competitors...

There must be many of us that require 2010 helmets for next season. Perhaps a helmet meet and greet at your facility with a modest Rennlist discount? I say modest because I am a big fan of those who have the guts to open a business.
Winter is nigh, we need things to do!

The new helmets have started to come in!
Althought the SA 2005 helmets are extended and still good for another 8 years - we are giving our fellow entusiast a little break on what we have in stock.

I am all up for an evening or Saturday of "Safety Equipment" demo and info session.
Let's check with Phil when we could put that on...

Cheers,
Ilker @ SCB
