I didn't mean from being completly done, just enough to fire it up (no coolant or anything other than to make the engine start).

I don't know Jim...

You said two years ago after our spring trip to Hershey, that it would be on the road by the end of the summer 2011. I'm not sure I'm buying the 100 hours or even the couple of hours...lol.

WE MISS YOU JIM!

I understand the skepticism. Back then I really didn't understand or even comprehend the 10/80 rule of projects. That should be 10/90 BTW. Quite a few guys have done the LS into 944's but few did the 968. The chassis are close but there's enough difference that just don't work. Also I had a goal that it should look like it rolled out of the factory with an aluminum pushrod 8. The objective also is that it had to be my build and not a sub-contract. Time to do the work also is limited and winter is out of the question and summers are a busy time too so the project expands to meet the time available for it's completion. In this case it's near infinity or when my license is pulled due to old age.

Keep at it Jim and do it on your schedule. I am 5 years into my TR6 rebuild.... These things take time.

They certainly do. Taking a break for lunch. I'm building sway bar brackets today.

Made some great progress. Finished the oil tank and doing some body work. Best thing today was five laps around Toronto Motorsport Park in a F430. My kids Fathers Day present and today was the day. That sum bich flies. I got to test traction control too and it works real well. My kids both went and took this pic amongst a couple of hundred more.

Wrong image, it was a TDI, not stock, bellows out a lot of black smoke every time he trompted on the throttle.

Sweet! That must have been a real rush. Would love to see a video if you have one.

The video didn't work out well, but here's a pic of getting waved past a slower car. He had a full straight head start and I caught up here at the beginning of the third lap. Best FatherDay gift ever.

How was it to drive? How does it compare to a P-car, and what top speed did you hit?
