Tanner...I just brought a 993 up in November and have another coming up this month. I get my recall clearance letter from a P-car Dealer in the states and that is all you need for that. Then, get the car safetied, DRL's done and smog checked. Take all of that paperwork with you to Canadian tire and they will check that your car has DRLs and that is all. You don't need anything else despite what the dealers will tell you.
Service your Porsche in Woodbridge at Autowerks and you'll be many dollars ahead and receive much better service!!!

Funny thing about the airbag sticker - I just wrote out the warning in French on a standard mailing label and stuck it to the visor for inspection. Worked for me but that was in 05.

comatb is spot on. I just brought mine in 2 weeks ago. I was told by RIV that the only thing I needed was DRL which proved out as it passed inspection with no problems (no bi-lingual stickers). I had the DRL done by a US dealer ($130) and got the job management report (no recalls) from the US dealer as well. The whole process was far easier than I thought it was going to be. I also had the warranty transferred by US dealer - no fee.

Sorry Bill, I really don't know the answer to that question, but I would try it my way and see what happens. It will only cost an extra $28 if it fails.

Picking up my bilingual decals tomorrow from the local Dodge. The Recall letter is in the glove box of the car and all I need know is the transport company to assign the car to a load heading north and away we go.

On my 1996 993, which is a U.S. car, the bi-lingual airbag warnings are on the inside of the glovebox door.
RIV will accept job management reports for recall clearances, provided they have a stamp on them from an authorized dealer, or are printed on dealer letterhead. IIRC, it's not required at the border, only when you apply to RIV.

Remember, the key words on the RIV inspection form are:
"This vehicle requires a French SRS Maintenance label if it is equipped with an airbag that requires periodic maintenance."
This is not a "safety" warning label, but rather a maintenance label. The label you are looking for is as follows, in my car, it is on the passenger pillar - note the part number (996.701.423.01):

Go to Chrysler-Dodge and get part # 04787437-AA. They’re the only OE to still sell just stickers. They’re $1.13 each, and you’ll need 2. And don’t worry, the stickers don’t say “Dodge” anywhere on them. In fact, they’re so non-offensive I still have them on my visors.
This was back in 2005, so i'm not sure if the info is still good. Good luck

Fair bit cheaper here although still a lot more than they were before: http://www.moparpartsoverstock.com/p...4787437AA.html
Another thought, could one of us take a picture of the decal, email it to you so you can print two out on photo paper, and just temporarily glue it to the visors for the inspection? Will cost you next to nothing.....

Our import has no french stickers, another breeze at crappy tire.
I would not buy them at all. Just steal an image from the web, print on an Avery label and take it off after the inspection. Cost, next to nothing and a pair of scissors. Or just type it up, yellow background and your done. You could probably paste any French text in it and no one would even notice.
Ok let's search...............,,,,,
Just print this.

Ended up taking a pic of the one in my DD, cut it out and ELECTRICAL TAPED it to the visor. Looked like $hit and that was on purpose but it passed.

You guys are funny. Read the import letter. Bilingual airbag stickers are only required on vehicles that require regular maintenance on the airbags but guess what? No Porsche in existence requires maintenance on their air bags.
DRLs are easy to get around too.
EDIT: Just saw the above post about having them inspected. News to me so I retract my statement but when I talk to RIV (I do these for a living) they stresses that there are VERY VERY few vehicles that would fail for this and they specified that it had nothing to do with the sticker above the visor.

This old old thread still shows up on Google when one searches "Canadian airbag sticker". I just went through the trouble myself.
See attached for a vectorized one you can print as a Staples mailing label.
