Nice...what is the '911' designation? Is this the new 998 body?

why not take european delivery?
black with brown interior... and you chose this?
why black instrument dials? light coloured are easier to read.

I have until Tuesday morning to play around with the options a little bit. I plan to go in on Monday. I'll try and answer questions as they come.

1. Heated steering wheel is not available with the paddle shifter steering wheel option.
2. Crests in headrest not really a huge value added for me.
3. Natural Brown is the most beautiful interior I've seen even with a black exterior. It's very lush and darker then the standard beige interior.
4. The "911" designation option is awesome. It allows you to change the writing on the rear end to just "911" instead of the full "Carrera 4S" - My favorite option of all and it's free - lol
5. Don't want to discuss the details of the pricing. Suffice to to say I was very satisfied.
6. Euro delivery. Not worth the extra dosh + no time with my travel schedule.
7. Black dials have much less reflection and are actually just as easy to read - however I will check again.

I thought euro delivery was free.
think again about the black dials...IMO the light coloured ones are better...I have both.
congrats
if it is not built for couple months why do you have to finalize options by Tuesday?

So is the '' 2011" a 997.2 body style or the new 998..?

My understanding was that there was a charge for Euro delivery. Can't seem to find the option any more on the configurator. Either way I'm unable to take advantage even though I fly through Germany often for work.

I'm definitely going to check the dial options again on Monday.

I was advised that 2011 models start production in June. Don't know why he said that order must be finalized by end of Monday. Regardless, I did my research for at least a month. So there are only going to be a couple of changes max.

It's going to remain 997.2 until 2013 model according to dealership. Who knows about these things. I've seen the info regarding 998, however, the current style is gorgeous. Additionally, I would never buy 1st year model year production of a new vehicle.

Agreed - 997.2 is beautiful - just took delivery of my TT on Thursday and on most angles..it is pretty. Quite surprised at how civil it is as a daily driver actually with the PDK. I got paddles too and I must say....the entire set up is pretty slick.

Not to get you twisted up...the white on coco with the coco roof is the most beautiful (Classy) combination - if you have the nerve to order it - which I didn't...but there was a C2 that combo at my dealer on Thursday which was brilliant! You'd have to get the rockers and underside painted so a little extra dough....but hey - they are all beautiful so there is no wrong color..

It was going to be Atlas Grey. Then I thought that the extra $3.5 k wasn't worth it. Then I decided it was either white or basalt black. I was pretty sold on the white one, and that's actually how I left it at the dealer.

I couldn't stop thinking that white was just a little too feminine for me and had I lived in California it would have been fine, however, with our long winters and short days, I think the Basalt Black suits me best. The dark blue is nice as well (it never ends). This concrete decision will be made on Monday.

Congrats on the new purchase, I just signed the paper work on a new 2011 GT3 that also has a June build date. Did you get hit with an increase from 2010 to 2011 base price? The $6000 cash credit offerd to me by Porsche Canada was pretty much erased by the price increase.

I have it in my Audi A4 and find it invaluable given all the Xenon and LED headlights out there now. Especially given how low the Porsche rides.

Thanks for the kind words. Congrats on your GT3! That's one heck of a vehicle.

There was small decrease in base pricing for 2011 C4S. You can see the full 2011 model pricing schedule here:
