Default Recommendation for pcar friendly driveclean facility?

Any recommendations in the north GTA? (Woodbridge/RH/Thornhill/Markham)

Refuse to make some teenager's day with a joy ride at CanadianTire or some other bigbox chain

Don't suspect there will be any problems... just hoping to find a reputable shop

Car is a 997 so don't suspect there will be any problems... just hoping to find a reputable shop

Not that near to you - West Mississauga - but at least your car will be warmed up by the drive over...

My Canadian Tire store is P-Car friendly! Take a road trip to Ottawa :P

For real though, take it to CT, tell them that they're probably better to do a 2 speed idle test because the car is lowered or has 'ground effects' and that it shouldn't go on a dyno (if it's a 4wd, they'll need to do this type of test anyway). You can even ask them if you can drive it in but I can't guaranty that they'll allow you due to insurance regulations. In my case, the bay is isolated from the rest of the shop and has it's own door so it isn't even like it's a long distance.

Just ask if they'll do the 2 speed idle and it doesn't go on the dyno.

A number of us have brought our pcars to these guys: http://www.awauto.ca/
They're on Kipling Ave not far from our Saturday GTG's.

Torontoworker, thanks for the tip. I need to get the test done this week and this testing facility is only 15 min from my house!

It's an excuse for a nice drive in the Pcar! Bring it out to the GTG tomorrow morning and do the test on Kipling on the way home

I just had mine done at Active Green & Ross at Queensway/Parklawn. Drove it in/out myself, done in 15 mins, no dyno.

Last time I did my driveclean at Heritage Rd (mccowan + hwy 7) (forgot name, shop next to Fx). Didn't know whether they do dyno or not but my 987s is still alive and kicking....

Wanted to share in case anyone else was looking for a good e-test shop uptown - called EU Autowerks and was recommended a place called "Yorkstar"

Had a great experience - Walked in, dropped off the keys, and was out the door within 15 minutes. They even had leather couches

Seems that the default setting for P cars seems to be NO dyno - at least that's what the people doing mine told me - so I guess if you take your car into another spot and you see them rolling it onto the rollers - grab the keys and run out of there!
