You guys with modern cars are being sissies Seriously, though, they're really no different than any other car - just wash 'em up regularly and they'll be fine. Even with my pre-galvanized 72, if I weren't going away next week it'd be on the road now, because there are only trace amounts of salt left on the road. I'd just wash it a little more often.

Did you guys know that the concrete dust they use at Mosport is just as corrosive? At least that's what one of the guys that work there told me. A little salt in dry weather isn't going to do any harm.

Lots of snow and run off at my place and there's still a couple of big dumps to come.
I worry about the salt getting into places I can't get to .....
Hell with it ..... I think I'll pull it out on the weekend!

Your asking the wrong person, Mr. Swing needs permission from the Boss first.

Warning, your 911 might explode if it gets into contact with salt residue from the winter....

Better wait until August or September to be REALLY safe!

As you well know, I have had my Targa on the road all winter. Washed it weekly and stored it in the garage at night...NOT the whole winter.
I have thoroughly enjoyed driving in the snow, slush, rain and on sunny days. Four wheel drive baby!

I'm on the road and lovin it.

You know, this winter had a lot of dry days with little or no salt on the roads. I was able to take my car out a couple times a month, but now i'm out daily.

Come on pussies...get it out there. Been driving on clear days and dry roads all winter. There were many this winter.

took mine out the day before that last massive snow-fall...

didn't really want to, but my winter beater died so i had no other way to get to work. could barely get the damn thing out of the drive-way the next day though...and felt down-right sacreligious driving it in those conditions.

but i've had it on the road since with no problems! got an oil change 2 days after i took her out, and been hitting the toonie-loonie every other day to make sure nothing builds up in the wheel-wells or on the underbody, but with the weather we've been having lately, the roads are pretty nice!

i would have been upset had i not taken her out in time to experience this recent weather.
