Default Is it time to pull the car out of winter storage?

The great weather has been killing me with the Turbo in storage.

Is it time to pull it out? I am trying to wait for a good rain.....

Mine's been out for over a week now. There was a good rainfall right before this warm weather. I didn't see or hear any salt when I took it out. Go for it!

Waiting for a decent rain fall.
Problem is, if you leave where you live there may be salt out in other towns/cities. Be worried if you go for a medium to long drive.

Just because it rains here doesn't mean it rained there.

i'm almost ready to get my boxster S out....

However, I do need to put the summers on both my family cars, put the snowmobile away, and disassemble our rink so it will be a while.

I've also got to do an oil change on the Boxster S and give it a good wash... It had some rain marks on it before I parked it for the winter, so I didn't cover it.... it's really dusty.

The street sweepers have been out all week in my part of TO. like fc-racer said, there really hasn't been any salt in awhile here.

We're not that fortunate up here where there is still snow and winter runoff.

Just drive behind a city bus and check to see how clear the air is where up here is it white and quite thick...salt dust in the air and on the roads.

I'm not that much of a perfectionist but drove my cars out to two GTGs and it did not show any salt on it. It was dry both times. In any case a good handwash seems ok to me for any minor amounts of salt.

Insurance moved from April 1 to this Monday (15th). My first season - feels like the week before Christmas when I was 7.

...I couldn't take it any longer either, so I put it on the road last Friday. Part of the motivation was that I had just put on my new exhaust & hadn't heard it yet. Its been 2 weeks since any salt has gone down, so get out there!
