Default Deals on P-Car stuff

Folks, just found a few good deals and want to pass them along.

The first one is with Head Light Bulbs. This place is in the UK and ships to Canada for free!! Their prices are great and if you use Coupon Code AYSCX1729 you also get 10% off. You can set the currency calculator to CDN $$$ as well as select your vehicle.

I ordered the Philips X-Treme Power H7 for the Beepster which also included marker bulbs for 25 B Pounds with free delivery!!! I have looked elsewhere and this seems to be the cheapest site around!!! http://www.powerbulbs.com/
The Philips bulbs received excellent ratings in just about all reviews I had seen ... and they put out 80% more light (Lumens) and last a long time.

Second is the Boxster Bently Shop Service manual. Chapters.ca is selling it for $72.32 delivered to the door. This usually costs $99 USD. I should have it shortly ...

Don't try and buy the book in the Chapters store, for some reason they'll try and nail you a $100+ (I forget what they wanted to charge me 3 years ago). Like Jaak said, it's cheaper online.

how is the Bentley manual for the boxster? I had a Factory manual for my Integra that I thought was decent... (at least the drawings were pretty good).

I have a $25 gift card for chapters that I could use towards it.....

I have not gotten it yet, but, the 968 Forum says it's the next best thing from the complete workshop manuals put out by Porsche. Folks said they can to 95% of the repairs using the book. Much better than the Haynes series. Go to the Bentely (sp) website for more info. If you have a Beepster ... get the book!!!

Hey, I ordered Philips H7 from UK last year too. Not sure if it is the same shop. But just as a data point, shipping time from UK to Canada is much much faster than USPS.

Having had my book for 3 years it's been a huge help plus it's interesting reading. It's NOT perfect but handy as hell.

FYI, Wayne over at Pelican is working on his 101 things to do with your Boxster. It's going to be a "must have".

Just got it today and it is quite good. The photos are done quite well and the book is easy to follow. Even points out the differences in the years. The Book is almost 2 " thick! Well worth it!!!

Even has ODB2 codes and their meaning, I'll have to try it out with my reader ...
