I've been scammed before on a small item from ebay.

I paid via paypal... seller withdrew money, i was S.O.L.
My visa charged PayPal back and refunded my money (Visa was great about it!)

Create a new account, have him send money, dont withdraw... see what happens?

Or just ignore him

We see these sort of scams all the time in the banking biz. Warning signs are foreign address and/or untraceable email, lots of spelling mistakes, and someone who doesn't even want to see the car before they buy it (or at least have someone PPI it!).

Paypal is not insured unless you purchase in an ebay auction.
None the less, you wait till full payment then you let the car go. I also noticed some sentence structure problems, and spelling problems. These are, and were, give-aways for "non-english speaking scammers". Its a translation program.

P.S forgive my spelling.

Interesting, I've seen people attempt scams by "selling" cars, asking for the money upfront, and as soon as you tell them you'll come look at the car and give them the money in person the account and the sales ad disappears.

I'd be asking some more questions, i think the whole "too good to be true" rule applies. Whatever you do, don't let go of your car until you have the money secured!

Yeah, and somehow the name "Normy", doesn't quite convince me that the " interested party" is from North America.

Why is it that the Police are not all over these Criminals?

The COPs would rather catch the real criminals....

hey we could use him for some new years entertainmant. Jus have him send you the check for the full amout .. Frame it and put it on your wall .. and then tell him you will have the RCMP and yourself meet him at a precinct of his choosing to deliver the car ..
