Yes, you missed the early 70s with non-galvanized bodies 
1972 911 + salt = disintegration really fast.
I've been very (VERY) tempted by a nice black 964 C4 cabrio for sale in the US for dirt cheap, and winter driving is a big part of that. As it is now, I &$#*ing hate winter with a passion.
Oh well, at least we're off to Florida tomorrow!
