Default Winter storage - here I come...

Today's the day - I'm putting my car away for the winter this evening. I feel good that I held out until December but snow is on the way and I don't have the tires to match the weather.

This was my first season with the pcar and it was GREAT. Not only did I find my car here on Rennlist but I got tons of great advice that helped me move up the owner learning curve. Thanks to everyone for generously sharing info whether it was in reply to my posts or to the thousands of posts started by others that I read each evening.

Not being handy around the engine, I decided I would learn how to take care of the exterior. As I am getting prepared to put the car away for the season, I realize that I have about $500 worth of car care products. Most of which I bought, used once or twice and replaced with another product that I heard about here on the site. Happily that was the largest cost I had during my first 2,800 miles with the car!

I can't wait for the Spring - I am planning to be the first to sign up for the PCA DE classes...

Thanks again to everyone

Just put the daughter's Golf Cab away for the winter. Putting the winter floor mats in the Porsche and I'm good to go!

Yes, you missed the early 70s with non-galvanized bodies 1972 911 + salt = disintegration really fast.

I've been very (VERY) tempted by a nice black 964 C4 cabrio for sale in the US for dirt cheap, and winter driving is a big part of that. As it is now, I &$#*ing hate winter with a passion.

Oh well, at least we're off to Florida tomorrow!

Sweet Zookie! I'm thinking that you have exceeded your cars purchase price in CPO claims...hahaha. That will teach Porsche for not making them like they use to!
