Default Any advice on shipping parts from US? (exhaust)

Hi guys,

I have my eye on a few parts from the US..but the one I am close to pulling the trigger on is the Fister D MKii exhaust.

Having ordered from the US prior and had different results regarding duty/taxes and brokerage costs, can anyone shed some light as to the best company to have ship the exhaust over to me?

Thanks in advance

If you can, use USPS (US Mail). They are the cheapets by far.

if they won't use USPS and insist on UPS consider shipping to a US address. Many border towns have pick-up locations. You can combine it with a shopping trip to make it worthwhile.

You can try this place:

as mentioned USPS will be most likely cheaper. Also, there aren't any brokerage fees with USPS. It's nothing to count on, but the last 2 items I've ordered over $100 through USPS I havent been charged duty on either.

on a larger, heavy order I made it was about $200 cheaper to send it through UPS to their depot in Buffalo.

I bought a set of modded cans off FisterD in the spring. He shipped them via USPS for me ... cost was about $100 US if memory serves. He'll ship them as used mufflers at a fairly low value if you ask. I think I ended up paying about $25 all in for tax, etc. when I picked them up at my local postal drop.

He does great quality work and packs them well so they don't get damaged in transit. I'm very happy with the new choir.

I use CBI all the time - as said above, easy and cheap.
If it is of any use to you, I have to pick something up in the next couple of weeks, and will be driving down with my truck.

Default Thanks!!

Quick update..I modded a set from Fister D and had him ship using USPS..
Duty here was only $22.
The sound is fantastic for the cost of this mod...a few hundred Km's later and I still have a big smile on my face.

Thanks for your help!
