Question Powder coating brake calipers, where in GTA?

Is there any reputable shop that I can get powder coating done for a set of brake calipers in Greater Toronto Area? Thanks.

Im curious too if it doesn't cost an arm and leg. Otherwise, going the caliper paint route is cheaper.

to powder coat you must change all the seals. that is expensive. a place advertises in panaroma in NJ and to coat and rebuild is like 350 ea x 4 =1400 bucks
caliper paint is cheaper and can be done well.

Is there any advantage to the finish with a powder coating?

pfaff tunning does it as well. they can also do custom logoing on the calipers.

It's very likely that Pfaff tuning sends them off to Fireball to get them done.

Fireball offered me an online quote of $300 for the four callipers with lettering included which I thought was pretty good. I am waiting for another email to tell me how long it takes them to do the job. Thanks for the tips. - Glenn

What color are you getting them done at?

The seller whom I bought the calipers from generously offered to sell me the whole set... so I guess I'll be going the same route as you. Fireball originally quoted me $100 per caliper for painting the front pair.

all 4 for $300 sounds like a great deal. to powder coat it must be baked at high temperature so the seals would melt. do they reuse the seals? the rebuild kits are expensive and you must be sure they are using quality seals.
tip: while they are out change to ss brake lines and improve your braking

Everything needs to come off the caliper, and Porsche does not sell the inner seals. Fortunately GiroDisc sells piston rebuild kits that includes both inner and outer seals for $99 per axel.

hmmmmm This is all food for thought. I think I will probably wait until the end of the season to do it.
