Default How often du you replace your particle filter?

Year 1 minor maintenance schedule calls for the replacement of the particle filter. My car is always garaged and it has only 3000 miles. I find it hard to believe that the particle filter needs to be replaced already.

When do you replace your filter?

Do you use a chacoal or paper filter? Part number would be appreciated.

when you say particle filter are you talking about the air filter in the engine of is there a cabin particle filter ? air filters are usually about 30,000 km or so dependant on usage ..

quite honestly it has nothing to do with maintenece of the car. I couldn't give a **** about a pollen filter in a car. I wish I didn't even have one. They could leave those for those newer 997s owners that have all the alergies

hey hey hey easy there, Gerg Allerigies are nooooo jokes... i am stuck here in Kuwait for a month getting three surgeries done for my Sinus Allergies...

as for the Particle Filter i change mine accroding to the book... If you getting a funny smell when you turn your A/C on, that means your Filter is continimated, covered in Milldue/Fungus, time for a change... your Filter will usually smell funny in a year...

Fellas help me out here. Where do I find this particular particle filter on my car ? I have searched the owner's manual and can't find any mention of it anywhere. Which means that I must have some ferocious allergies/contaminants/fungi lurking in my cabin area (maybe the occassional rich fuel [carcinogenic] mix that I smell from the carburators kills those nasty little allergens and bacteria)...

The particulate filter on your model is located slightly to the left of your chin...see attached picture.

Good one Phil,
A little reminiscent of the 1917 mustard gas era, but will it fit my square head application ?
