I use a battery maintainer called Battery Tender Plus. It is widely recognised as the best or one of the best battery maintainer. It has intelligent circuitry that reduces amperage to less than 0.1 amp when it senses that the battery is fully charged. It can be left connected indefinitely without any harm to the battery.

The second best method is to disconnect the negative post as suggested.

Beware of cheap CT chargers. Their minimum amperage is too high and can damage batteries.

When I need a new battery, I shop at Costco. They have good prices and excellent customer service.

Guys,

thanks for all the posts.

I did indeed try to charge up the Moll at CT. When it could not hold the charge, I just ponied up for a new battery. It was a touch smaller, but fits in the spot perfect. The clamp holds it down perfectly.

Took it out for hour long drive, all is cool.

Now, all I have to do is reset the windwos, radio and digital odo/speedometer from miles to KM's.

Cheers and thanks for your input!
