Default Low Profile Trolley Jack

FYI....Costco (no affiliation, etc.) has a sale on a 6,000 lbs capacity, low profile, floor jack. Should work well on Porsches. The lovely front door greeter will give you a $15 off coupon to redeem. Was $69.99 now $54.99.

I'll be trying it out on the 964 tonight when I pull the snows off. Used it on the wife's car yesterday and its very sturdy and much better than the jacks from crappy tire.

Will try to post some pics later today.

I was eying that yesterday. The only con is that it weighs a ton.

Sometimes the have the low profile, lightweight Michelin jack on sale. It's a better choice in my opinion.

If its the one I saw last weekend, it's a Torin and it goes pretty low. Maybe as lo as 2-2.5". I have the older Torin jack from Costco. Mines not low profile and I can get under my stock height Boxster even with a hockey puck on the lift pad. As The DD said it weighs a ton, its only good for dragging around the garage, not for the track.

Princess Auto has a nice Aluminum low profile jack. I think it was about $125. Very light and easy to move around. Also, its jJust the right length to lift perfectly from the engine crankcase if thats your cup of tea.

All the comments about the weight of this thing is spot on. Its very heavy. Certainly not suitable for the track. But it really works a treat. It does get down to about 2.5" - 3". But the the price was too good to miss
