Its not that, I've had rear and front bumpers painted as well as replaced all the brakes duct and their counterparts replaced. Just out of cash right now. I need a service done including a brake fluid flush and a thorough under body cleaning, front pads, probably rotors and I need a new set of tires PS2 which don't come cheap. I can get one or the other by May 3 done but not both.

Glen, when you sign up for your first UCR DE, they'll put you in the introductory school, which includes skid pad, so not to worry!

Hell if I charged a fee for a Tech Inspection we would have the Miami riots all over again.

For those of you registered for skid pad this weekend. Just got this email from UCR PCA:

Introductory Driving School Rescheduled

Sat April 5th moved to April 19th, 2008

It should come to no one's surprise that the Mosport skidpad still has three feet of snow on it. Because of this we will be running all students through the April 19th school.

Registered students will be receiving updated instructions by email shortly.

this sucks, now they want to cram everyone from both skidpad events into one day.

Bah... we can make our own skid pad event in the Artisano parking lot! Maybe around that massive snow bank.

Re: tech inspection
There are some of us who do mostly our own work, and don't drop a ton of money on service work. I can't expect any shop to do my tech inspection for free, and Bestline's price of $40 is very reasonable.

My experience has been that if you're giving your shop some business (ie: oil change or brake flush), they don't charge for the tech.

This is my first time at the UCR DE. I got an email telling me my assigned car #.

Do I need to prepare my own sticker? If so, what do you guys usually do? Thanks.
