I usually just hit a loomis and buy some vinyl stickers. I print out some numbers on paper and cut them out of the vinyl. I apply them to the rear passenger and driver side windows. Alternatively, you can hit a sign store and have them make some for you too - cheap, fast and easy.

I posted this in the UCR forum too:
Here's what I just did. Using a laser printer, I printed my numbers on a thick paper stock. Then I covered the paper on both sides with clear self adhesive film (the kind kids use on school books) so that they'll hold up for the season at least. Finally, i trimmed them to size to fit inside my back side windows. I'll just use a bit of Scotch tape to attach them. Total costs: $2.75...for the clear film at Staples.

The numbers have to be a minimum of 4 inches in length.

Where do I register. Guess I better hurry the F$ck up unless it's full. Do I need skid pad if I'm green?

Looks like 80% showers on Saturday and scattered showers on Sunday. How will that affect the event?

if it rains, the track will be wet. I will be either sitting in my car at the track praying for dry track or at home. I don't take my car on track in wet. most don't. some do.
the weather at Mosport can be very different than Toronto

Correct me if I'm wrong but I guess we're SOL if it rains right, and there's no refunds or anything?

No refunds. Others will go in if the rain is not too heavy. What tires are you using? also there have been days when it is raining hard in TO and even Bowmanville but not at the track so you never really know. what they need is a webcam or something. many days I wake up and check the weather network for bowmanville and decide. I think we will get at least one good day.

May at Mosport is a crapshoot. If it's raining in Toronto it's sunny at Mosport. I swear they have their own weather system. I would bring rain gear. Not too many places to hide from the rain.
I find if the track is wet half the group doesn't come out. I have an SC so wheel spin isn't an issue in the wet.

Just May is a crapshoot? Hell, I've had exactly ONE event at Mosport with zero rain. Every single other time (probably 15 times) there's been at least some rain. But often enough it's fairly light and the traffic keeps the track dry.

I completely understand not wanting to drive Mosport in the wet - it's dangerous and scary. But don't discount track driving in the wet - go try it at Dunnville, where there's nothing to hit. It's SO much fun slip-sliding around in the wet!

Driving in the rain is just like driving in the dry at the track, only slower and wetter. As a learning tool a day in the rain on track can teach more then several in the dry as the lower limits really drive home the need to be smooth. Don't worry, just relax and take it slowly and you will have a great day at the track.
