Default Canadian Tire Sales ROCK!

mastercraft bits, gear wrenches and toolsets are on sale for like half off! too bad you can't check store stock online, they'll prolly be gone by 2morrow morning.

jobmate stuff is too, but it's disposable crap if your going to be working in harsher weather (my last set rusted out on me but for the 20$ its not a big deal). they have a 300 piece kit that comes in a nice tool chest with sliding drawers for 75$.

Bought a 300 cranking amp power pack today for $30. Good insurance in case I get the key trapped in the ignition again like I did today bringing the car out of storage. If it can start the car, and there is every indication it should have no problem, it will be an added bonus.

Thank goodness Downtown Porsche was open today and they were kind enough to send one of their guys to rescue the trapped ignition key and boost the battery. Was great to drive the car again, felt so familiar, yet so exciting all over again.

Any decent compressors available there that you guys can recommend? I don't need anything too large or sophisticated, just something that comes with a basic impact wrench that I can use to take my wheels on and off quickly and air up tires. Not planing to set up a paint booth or anything.
BTW: thanks for the coupon link...printed it up already.

The best way is to check the rating plate on the tools you are using. That will give you a guideline of the size of the compressor you will need.
How often do will you be using the compressor?
For filling up the tires a larger tank built into the compressor would help.

phil...why not just get a cordless impact gun (they make them for upto 300ftlbs of torque) to take wheels off and on in your house or at the track.

air is free at gas stations or at the track you can get one of those little compressors that you plug into ur cigarette lighter for fine tuning your PSI settings. ive seen people using them trackside with success. that way you won't have a compressor eating into garage space.

I have an electric impact gun. I guess it must not be a good one because it can't take a tire off. It's actually pretty lame.

And I wish air was free at gas stations, I have seen some places charge as much as 0.50. WTF is that?

air used to be free all over, now its only free at the smaller locations.
sunoco and shell have this program where the air $ goes to sick kids hospital or something. canadian tire air is free, at least in my area.

the canadian tire impact gun onlygets about 80-100 ft lbs and won't break bolts. you gotta hit em with a bar and then spin em off with a gun. for under 100 bucks tho, can't really complain about it.

Actually, air is free at most gas stations. Just go inside and ask the attendant to turn on the air and he'll do it. It always works for me. Maybe it's a law or something, I don't know.
