Older cars will do better than newer cars in the Targa because of how the times are set. A Cayenne Turbo would be a poor choice for a tarmac rally car. Too heavy and too big for the small twisty roads of the Targa. A properly prepared, 70's 911 has shown to be a competitive car (Glen Clarke won in 06).

I finally got around to watching it tonight (PVR'd it! )
Boy I love watching this stuff ... although after every crash ... I add up the damage in my head
I think though, one of these day's I'll have to enter it.
Maybe next year I'll drive out and watch it Live.
I wonder if Forza Motorsport 2 could do an add-on map of the routes and rules/times ... would be cool to play on the X-Box 360!

So a Porche / Vette Frankin Car eh? Would love to see that out on the track ... how is your project progressing? You should post some build pictures on this, and the Corvette Forum! The guys would love to see it!

Omar - I'm in.
I'll send over my complete race resume - but as a highlight, I did win the Ontario Performance Rally Championship in 2001, for AWD Turbo production cars.
Is your idea to flip back and forth with the driving duties? Regrettably - it's usually no allowed. Flip a coin for it?

Let's make it best 3 of 5.
Most tricks on a skateboard, most companies started, quickest mountain bike lap at hardwoord hills and most black diamond runs done to date (Rockies only).
Do I get to drive now?? : )
RK
PS. Let's trade mail if you're serious about competing - I actually have every intent to run it.

The factory Subaru STI rally cars have a tough time getting into the top spots. A lot of the stages are on narrow roads with tight corners. I may be wrong, but I can't see a truck doing well without A LOT of modifications. I've seen Turbo Peppers on tracks that reward high HP (WGI and Mosport) and they just aren't fast (at least the one's I've seen).
