I'll check out Costco and see if they also have Group 48.
are you gonna be skiing this year if the snow ever melts?
Definitely will Dan. We talked earlier about hooking up but the season got away on us. I keep a Nautique out at Puslinch so would be happy to meet up with you and give you a pull.
How are you likeing the TT?
Regards,
Paul.

I'm guessing Group 48 Refers to the size of the battery? Does the manufacturer matter, or will they all fit? No wonder people just go down to the dealer to buy it, its very confusing.

next on my list of dumb questions: Is it difficult to change out the battery? Any risk in damaging the car's electricals, or damaging the amateur mechanic changing it?

be sure to disconnect the negative first and then the positive then the bolt which holds down the battery, (you may need to use a socket with extension) then pull the battery clean the battery leads then the positive next connect the negative. if done in this order you sould have no risk of damage to you or vehicle.
very easy to do. good luck

Also do not wear jewellery, including any rings or chains.
To reconnect, reverse what Turbodan said, starting at the positive first.

If for some reason you close the circuit touching a ring in your finger, 700 Amps
could burn EDIT: the ring right to the bone in a short moment- so be careful.

All you need is a combination wrench. I think if my memory serves me, it's a 9mm

do you think I need an extender? If memory serves, the nut that holds down the battery on the tray is pretty far down there.

oh ya forgot about that one. Yes you also need a socket wrench and extender.
I think mine is just 4" and it did the job.

The combo wrench is just to take the terminal connector off the post.

if I am successful in my little DIY project, and don't burn myself alive, I'll buy you a beer.

even though I didn't, you could buy some rubber gloves.
