Default BRG at Mosport this Thurs. (9/27)

Just wondering who's coming. I'll be there. Weather looks spotty, but here's hoping.

Latest forecast is rain in the morning, clear in the afternoon. Better than the other way around.

Christien,
Are you going to bring the camcorder mount with you. Wouldn't mind trying it out.

Yeah, but I just use zip ties to the passenger sunvisor clip. You're welcome to use it for a bit, if you like.

Absolutely AWESOME day today. Weather got ****ty for a bit in the early afternoon - nobody went out for a while after lunch, but cleared up. I got about 1:30 track time in the afternoon, after about an hour in the morning, all in the 996TT. Also my first day driving solo. Felt a bit strange at first, but I got used to it. The P Zeros saw the end of their life, and my dad has been looking for a set of track wheels, so we found and bought a set of Fikses with MPSCs on them. Instant 5 seconds off our lap times. By the end of the day I'll bet I cut 10 seconds off last week. Un-f#$king-real. I got lots of video, but this time instead of the tape running out I think the battery did. I'll youtube it and post it some time over the weekend - again, looking for comments.

Hopefully not my last trip to Mosport this year, but if it is, it was a great end to the season. Damn, I can't wait for May!

This was a great track day. I think we had 8 cars in the novice group. It was like a private session. I ran 260km and I skipped one (of the 6) 30min sessions becasue of rain. The advanced group has an additonal 30 min so they would get about 350Km, maybe more.Thats about as many klicks on track as it takes to get to Mosport and back from Toronto. Not bad for one day's driving

It got a bit exciting for me while powering out of 3 on a moist track while crossing the dry line. Thankfully I got it all straitened out after three or four rear end oscilations. Come to think of it, I do remember an instructor once telling me not to get on the power too early out of three in the rain until you CROSS the dry line !!!

Paul, I forgot to tell you (but I'm sure you noticed) that the evidence of your "excursion" was in plain sight on the straight between 3 and 4

We went through over 3 full tanks of gas today
