Anyone in Canada looking for a FordGT?

Last year, I was stuck with 100k in snowblowers that didn't sell. This year, I have 500k of LED Xmas lights that I have to carry over. So....we have something in common: each night, we'll be tucking in and kissing goodnite DEAD inventory that won't sell at our asking price.

Rich.....
Have your GM read the PDF's from the now defunct Ford GT prices site........
http://www.fordgtforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1851
And to touch on what Pongobaz said about dealers.........if you sell this car make sure you get a minimum $5K flat commission in writing......if he won't do that.....let the car rot.....and when you get a GT buyer.....do a deal on a used one, locate it and flip it outside of the dealership (I'll do it for you and cut you a fat cheque).........make a $10-20K gross and then you'll get paid what you are worth for selling a car like that.
Good luck.
FWIW......as far as 964's go.......a $28K car will probably need $10K +/- to make it right on day one. Seen that a million times.......and there are lots of those for sale.

Pongoboz, you wouldn't happen to be involved with PTS, would you? Is there any way you can convince Ford to allocate more Hybrid Escapes to us here in the west? I have two orders for 140 in total that I can't get built.
BC is a lot different market than Ontario, there is stupid wealth out here and full employment and as soon as the snow stops falling and the grass starts rising, that GT will be in a nice new loving home.
I agree that we should keep this forum focused on Porsche but Rich, being new, was only networking with his friends here and I can't fault him on his initiative.

Bob,
Yes, I do some work with PTS, however I don't have too much influence on vehicle allocations. The thing with being a consultant is that you sometimes get a better perspective of what could be done to improve business, but your clients don't always listen to you; corporate politics.
Too bad about the lack of inventory on the Escape hybrids; everytime I'm in town, I certainly see how popular hybrids are on the wet coast.
Nothing wrong with Rich networking with his buddies here (first rule of prospecting is to start with your inner circle), but I was suggesting that he try a more captive audience with a Ford-specific forum where he might get more bang for his buck.

Only Mr. Clarkson could drive that car and come up with that. Thanks for the video's Rob, they were well worth watching.
