Hey Dan - I know what you mean, however I'm not looking for a car with a lot of power. I really want a car that I can at least approach the limits with on track, and learn how to drive a RWD car properly (years of driving Audis has spoiled me, I could really throw my old A4 around a track comfortably).

I know that with my euro-spec M3 (not a ton of power, but enough) I never really got comfortable at the track, and the idea of smashing up a relatively rare/collectble car was not very appealing.

Hence, the S2 seems to fit the bill. I've driven a couple and I don't find them leaving me overly wanting in the power department. I also think the linear delivery of an NA car will help me learn quicker....

Thx
Ash

Nick's S2 is quite fast. As Stephane said, spinning the 18's isn't hard.

whatever you decide...welcome to the 944 club! although you still should choose 951. Just get the car that is in the best condition. If I were you I'd be looking in US.

Yes - been looking in the US due to the dollar situation....supply is drying up due to end of season it seems.

Still keeping my eyes open, any deal I work out on any car will have to make sense from the US perspective as well (ie a canadian car would have to fit into the price scheme we see in the US given the exchange).

I'll keep you guys posted..

It's not hard to import a car, but it's far easier to purchase within Canada.
