Default Damn, speeding ticket for 95 in a 50 zone.

Really the bad thing about it is that I probably didn't hit 95. I only went from a stop sign , turned left and accelerated 200 m and then slowed down after after getting into 2nd gear. Only to be pulled over 400m down the road by an unmarked car that I didn't even see.
Gona be the most expensive 5 sec of my life.

Anyone know how much distance it takes to go from 0-100 km/hour? I can't see it posible doing it in only 200 m having starting with a 90 degree left turn.

Ouch! Got to watch those speed traps. Especially in zones that tease you to drop the hammer. I'm quite familiar of that sinking felling seeing those cherries after an exhilarating run....especially when you try to out run them.
What was the fine/points?

Don't even bother arguing that angle, it wont work.
But if you really want to know, just get the 1/4 time slip from someone with the same car and look at the 1/8th mile (200metres) numbers.

In my 928, almost stock(only a chip set) I was hitting ~78mph at the 1/8th mile mark, the 1/4 mile times were around 13.7sec. With the supercharger is was ~87mph at the 1/8 mile mark and 1/4 mile times were ~12.8sec.

I'm guessing that you can easily hit 95 in 200m.

Probably not, though I doubt there guns can get an accurate reading in only 5 sec specially when its not the cars not going a contant speed for the whole 5 seconds.

I used this company. H.E.L.P (formerly POINTS) 416-503-4994. Ask for Jack Sturch. He is at 100 The East Mall.
My speeding ticket was dismissed (109 in a 60 on W/B Gardiner off ramp).

That’s because the yellow (advisory) signs are not enforceable and on/off ramps are perfect examples for this. They are only there to advise the driver on how fast they should go in the worst case scenario (wet pavement with a senior driver and minimal tire tread, etc.). If that speed limit sign was black & white with a proper by-law, the outcome would have been different.

Lucky it wasn't Quebec. They just DOUBLED their fines. 96 in a 50 is $480 + 10 demerit points +on the spot 7 day license suspension.
