drifting and time trials are separate...they pull the lappers off for those guys.
drifting takes 1 hr to wrap up...time trialing is at the end of the day and then they let people go back out lapping afterwards.
appart from that, if there's not enough cars for two run groups, it will be open track, otherwise there's usually two run groups

Ok, that's pretty sweet - thanks. Hopefully I'll make either that or Dunnville. I'm leaning toward the CSCS event simply because of the time available, though after driving Dunnville in the rain (my first and only time) I can't wait to try it out in the dry! My first impression was that it has a better rhythm than TMP, but I also found the 2nd half of the lap to be boring - all the fun stuff was in the first half. And I LOVE the chicaine at TMP!

^ hehe..the chicane is fun. for some reason a lot of hondas brake thru there and it throws off my rythem at times since i fly right thru it and then get on the brakes right after the car has straightened and trail into that corner.

Yeah, I've seen it become a bit of a traffic jam. I think the tight left-hander after it maybe scares people a bit. I know I lose a lot of time in that left because I apex it too early. There's tons of braking room, even though it doesn't look like it, so you can carry a ton of speed through the chicane, like you said. Remember though that you're driving a 996 with just *slightly* better brakes than a Honda!
If I make it out, I'll take you for a couple laps in the 911 - the feel is just completely different than any modern car. Especially after turn 2 - the short straight there between 2 and 3 has a pothole or something in the road surface, and it always tosses my car about a foot to the left and really unsettles it - remember, no traction control or suspension management! Sometimes I just barely recover to make turn 3. Too much fun!
