Clay bar none abrasive ? ....
It was great to see that demo the guy put on today for the car care .. next time I might bring my roof and stay for the whole thing. I did bring up the point about clay bar being an abrasive and I have to say I just don't agree with the guy , and him telling people it is none abrasive is doing them a dis-service. Albeit it is very mild , but clay is NOT magic .. it does not " soak up " contaminantes. it is abraiding the surface of the paint ( clearcoat is colourless paint ). This is why you do it infrequently, because you are taking off a microscopic amount of paint each time. It will even make a brand new car fel better because there is a small amount of "orange peel" or unevenness to tthe process, and you are leveling it all out when you clay it . I fully intend to clay my car when I clean up a few stone chips. But I am aware of what i am doing ... that is all..

You are correct! See this link from autopia car care.
I use it when the paint requires it but never more than twice a year and it's helped maintain my vehicles finishes over the years.

I went through 3 boxes before I found one with the clay bar actually in it. In retrospect I would just go and buy a clay bar if I could find one .. don't need all the extra stuff.
