spotted myself handing it to a C6 Vette off the line... then spotted myself getting handed by the Vette at 250kmph.... but i say the race is pretty much over at around 160ish...

Spotted a 959 ... i'm up at te cottage and go into Honey Harbour LCBO I see a 959 in the parking lot, it has Colorado plates on it. i wait for the guy to come out of the store to listen to it and he gets in the car and it won't start. I'm in the MDX and offer him a boost, we lift the trunk and the negative battery cable is loose. He said he had problems in Toronto and Pfaff had looked at the car to correct the problem. ( if anyone from Pfaff is reading this you may want to contact the guy). We get the car fired up and he says thanks and takes off. I wish I had my camera there are only 5 of these cars in North America. I think the history on this is that Bill Gates has one and cleared the way to get them into NA

That is interesting because when i first saw the 959 that is exactly what I thought, it look like a 911 with a body kit. The rear exhaust didn't look correct. It exited out the side rather than through the rear valence. But talking to the guy I'm pretty sure he thinks he has an original, and that he paid a 959 price for it. Porsche poser ....

another fake Porsche spotted today in the Porsche Corral at Mosport... this time a 993 Turbo "S".... 700hp or not, you aint got side scoops buddy...

I spotted a new slate-greyish 997 TT on the 401 just east of Oshawa yesterday on the way home...@ 60 yer old driver. He passed me, then slowed and I passed him...when I was beside him he didn't even glance over. Too busy chewing something. Then he pulled off at the Timmy's.
I only saw 1 944 NA the whole round trip...2 late 80's 911s...a red targa with tail and coupe with a tail...a whole gaggle of Cayennes and 2 or 3 993s.
Funny thing is, the 944 owner managed a wave (heading in the opposite express lanes) and the 911, 993, 997 etc wouldn't even acknowledge the pedigree.

The 959 legalization issue has been well discussed. Some are titled under a new "show and display" law enacted recently, and some are brought up to current safety and emissions regulations (as well as a massive hp increase) by Bruce Canepa. Canepa did Seinfeld's 959, and I believe Gates' was legalized under the show and display law.

FWIW, I feel badly for anyone who buys a body kit 959, but there's no excuse for not doing your homework. You can tell in the pic above it's a kit car, because 959s have centre-lock wheels, not the standard 5-lug pattern of cup wheels.

the mirrors in the replica are also incorrect. there is no way he thought it was a real 959....he is a poser and no way he thinks it is real now after taking it to Pfaff.
