Saw a white GT2 on a flatbed going up the 404 yesterday at 2pm. It was pretty smacked up in the front end. Had a orange stripe down the center of the car.
Wonder if we will see this car in the trader soon. I don't know if it was on the way to a body shop or Impact Auctions. I see Impact trucks loaded with cars everyday heading up the 404 but didn't see their name on the flatbed.

With all due respect, you may wish to reconsider posting a photo such as this. It didn't make me feel good and I'm sure the owner (whoever he is, wherever he is...I have no knowledge of owner or location of photo) feels much worse.
I recently met you and know that you are a decent person...perhaps you could arrange to have the posting removed.
Thanks

Post deleted. Never thought it would offend/upset anyone - but your point is quite valid - I should have gotten permission first. Apologies to all involved.
If anyone knows the owner (I do not) and they want photos - I have some - but will keep them private.

Well - I think it's inconsidertate to publish photos of someone else's misfortune, esp. without thier permission. (Now that I think about it.)
Initially - I was too darn proud of having a photo of the car citied in the post, that I acted without thinking about the ramifications for the owner.
Not sure if there's a protocol per se - although I'm happy to get informed. My future plan will be to not publicly post photos of private crashes. I think race crash photos are more open - there's media coverage, etc - I think it's reasonably expected that if you're at a santioned race - you're fair game for photo opps.
Perhaps the rule is...
What happens at the private lapping day - STAYS at the private lapping day.

Fair play RK. I can easily see how your enthusiasm would prompt you to post the pic. I didn't actually see the car on the day.
I wasn't sure of the protocol either and initially I didn't think it was over the line. In hindsight though, removing the picture is the neighbourly and considerate thing to do.
I applaud rideau's approach and your actions as well. This would have turned into a flame war on other forums I've frequented. Cheers to you both.

That's what I like about rennlist Canada - many if not most of us know each other in "real life" and see each other on a regular basis, so I think here we post more like gentleman, as opposed to, umm, I don't know... Pelican OT?
